Verena Falkner M.A.
Verena is an intercultural cultural scientist, author and speaker with experience and expertise in intercultural exchange. As a philanthropist she builds bridges with the quality of a handshake.
As a great lover of Arabic and Oriental cuisine, she is also known as a spice gourmet with her cookery and spice books as well as her spice lines. Her internationally popular and successful project “Alpine – Oriental Cuisine” includes show cooking in Abu Dhabi, cooking programmes on breakfast television in Azerbaijan, invitations as a guest chef for oriental cuisine in exquisite and upscale restaurants such as the award-winning restaurant “Saliba” in Hamburg.
Her cookbook ‘Sexy Cooking’, published in late 2023, won the internationally renowned ‘Best in the World’ award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.
Having grown up in Austria and Italy and spent several years in the Gulf States and the Orient, she is very familiar with the specialities of different cultures. After her return to Tyrol, she specialised her management consultancy in the areas of coaching, business training, communication and etiquette. Her book ‘Highheels on Golden Sand – The Rapid Development of Women in the UAE’, published in 2021, the year of the 50th anniversary of the UAE, is an exciting and informative standard work full of surprising and impressive facts.
In the intercultural dialogue “Occident – Orient”, which she founded, she provides information on traditions, cultural peculiarities and special features as well as on pioneering women from the Orient.

Verena`’s Cookery Book “Sexy Cooking” has won the prestigious international title of “Best in the World” Gourmand Cookbook Award in the “Cooking Economy” category. It can now proudly display this award. The award was presented by the founder of the World Gourmand Cookbook Awards, President Monsieur Edouard Cointreau, for the first time in a Muslim country, in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) at the end of November.
